About Diana Jones

After working many years in massage therapy and visiting many spas all over the country, she noticed gaps in the spa industry. The small business spa industry did not have the finances to hire spa directors and spa assistance needed to provide proper training for new massage therapists fresh out of school. She became friends with many therapists who would start working and quit after a few weeks. It’s too much to absorb without feeling you are constantly failing at providing your best customer care. Massage therapists are natural people pleasers, so it is counter intuitive to feel constantly stressed out and unable to provide your best care to clients.

Taking notes over the years of what she witnessed as gaps in cleaning protocols, contamination of products, customers sharing their horror stories about not receiving proper care and feeling disappointed in their services have led her to pursue a new career as an educator and a spa consultant. The new plan is to raise the standards of care by meeting the small business owners and helping them develop systems, so the work flows much easier, and bridges the communication gap between management and massage therapist so the staff feel supported.

Her new objective is offering solutions with her new book, a website offering educational classes which also give every massage therapist an 86 open door to communicate with her any issues they have, so they feel supported. Massage therapists all need someone with years of experience they can reach out to when they are unsure how to manage a client issue, a coworker issue, or a manager issue. Diana sees this as an opportunity to create a happier, healthier workplace for small business spas and their staff.

A NOTE TO MASSAGE THERAPISTS

I wanted to share a message to all massage therapists out there who have chosen this career field. Maybe  This is a whole new career for you, and you are not sure what to expect yet… Maybe you have been doing this for years and years and found my book and wanted to pass this along to your manager who may be frustrated because the business is failing. I wanted to say welcome to this wonderful community of people who love helping others.

You will have days full of laughter, and some days full of tears. Clients will hold you dear to their hearts and trust you with their entire families for your kind spirit and healing hands.

Find your special niche in massage and specialize in that area, do away with the parts of massage that do not fit you. Everyone is different. You may not enjoy Prenatal massage; therefore, I say avoid it. Find what brings you joy and grow in that direction.

I wanted to take a moment here at the end just to say thank you for all you are giving to so many others out there who sometimes do not receive any touch at all. Your ability to heal others goes way beyond your hands. It’s the human ability to show empathy to others. Sometimes it has nothing to do with your technique, and everything to do with your ability to provide comfort in a safe space. Be KIND.

Thank you all for giving me an opportunity to share my experiences with you in hopes it may offer you guidance in your own career. I respect your need for continuing education classes and plan to offer many more classes on the website soon.
